Adams Police Make Arrest After Search

ADAMS, Mass. — Officers made an arrest last week after a two-hour search in the Zylonite neighborhood.
According to a release from the Adams Police Department, On Sept. 11, 2020 patrol officers assigned to the evening shift conducted a two-hour search of the Zylonite neighborhood for an Adams resident who fled from a home when patrol officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant. 
Upon arrival at the home, the wanted man, who was determined to be inside the home, fled through the apartment building and was able to get out of the home through another apartment. 
Officers entered the apartment and determined that the man had fled from the scene.
A neighbor reported that the man had fled with no shoes into the neighborhood. Patrol officers initiated a search with assistance from the North Adams Police Department.
He was later located in a neighboring yard, covered in dirt and leaves and, according to the release, continued to deny running from the apartment. 
He was arrested without further incident and transported to the Adams Police Department for booking where he was held without bail over the weekend to appear in court Monday morning.

BART Announces Upcoming Enrollment Deadline

ADAMS, Mass. — Berkshire Arts and Technology (BART) Charter Public School is currently accepting applications for students in grades six through nine for the 2020-2021 school year, and grades six through ten for the 2021-2022 school year. 
The next enrollment deadline for the 2020-2021 school year will be Thursday, Oct. 29 at 12:00 p.m. The first enrollment deadline for the 2021-2022 school year will be in Jan. 2021; date TBA.
