ADAMS, Mass. — The Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying a suspect believed to be involved in a reported December armed robbery at 7 Eleven.
According to a statement released on its Facebook page, the Adams Police Department have been investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the early morning hours of Dec. 8, 2020, at the 7 Eleven on Columbia Street.
Patrol officers assigned to the midnight shift responded to the 7 Eleven at approximately 12:15 a.m. for what was reported as an armed robbery. Responding officer determined that a man displayed a handgun, demanded items from the clerk, then fled on foot prior to police arrival.
Since that time, no suspect has been identified.
The suspect can be seen wearing two different camouflage sweat shirts. One with a blue, black and white pattern and another with a green, brown, black and tan pattern. The black coat worn over the two sweat shirts has a distinct dotted pattern at the bottom of the coat.

Increased COVID-19 Cases Cause Adams to Slip Back Into Red

ADAMS, Mass.— Board of Health Chairman David Rhoads is urging residents to stay vigilant as Adams slips into the red level designation for COVID-19.
"It is always disheartening to convey bad news, but we are in the red here in Adams," Rhoads said at the Selectmen's meeting Wednesday. "We are definitely in a surge."
Rhoads said the town has been reporting a new case every day for the past three weeks.
Rhoads spoke directly to residents over livestreamed meeting and asked them to continue adhering to hygiene and social distancing guidelines to stop the spread, especially now that more aggressive variants have touched down in Berkshire County.
The Zoning Board of Appeals approved Cumberland Farms' special permit request to operate a 24-hour gas station and convenience store on Commercial Street.
