Kurtz Leads Williams Volleyball Past Vassar

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Lydia Kurtz recorded 11 kills Wednesday to lead the Williams College women's volleyball team to a three-set win over Vassar.
 
Kurtz also passed out 15 assists for Williams, which won by scores of 25-22, 25-14, 25-23.
 
Christina Confortti had six blocks and eight digs, and Lauren Kauppila passed out 20 assists in the win.
 
Williams (3-0) goes to Trinity on Friday.

Wlliams Field Hockey Edges Bates

LEWISTON, Maine -- Emily Batchelor scored in the 64th minute to break a 2-2 tie and send the Williams College field hockey team on to a 3-2 win over Bates on Saturday.
 
Molly Hellman and Catherine Torres each scored, and Batchelor had one assist.
 
Carson Stephenson and Gates Tenerowicz combined to make nine saves for Williams (11-3, 6-3 NESCAC), which closes the regular season at home against Middlebury on Tuesday night.
