Monument Boys, Greylock Girls Earn Tennis Wins

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Griffin McElroy battled from behind for a three-set win at second singles to highlight a 4-1 win for the Monument Mountain boys tennis team at Mount Greylock on Friday.
 
Jackson Stevens won a second-set tie-breaker at third singles to give the Spartans a point. And the doubles team of Levi Citrin and Teddy St. John clinched the win for the visitors with a 6-1, 6-1 win.
 
Frist singles player Oscar Heeringa won in straight sets to give the Mounties a point.
 
Mount Greylock’s girls won the team match before a ball was served as Monument Mountain forfeited three points.
 
The Mounties got straight set wins at first and second singles from Mia Patrick and Emily Oullette to make it a 5-0 win.
