Wahconah Wins at Amherst

AMHERST, Mass. – James Rabuse and Braedyn Melle combined on a one-hitter Friday as the Wahconah baseball team beat Amherst-Pelham, 12-0.
 
Rabuse struck out nine and walked one while allowing one hit in four innings of work. Melle then worked three scoreless innings, striking out three and walking one.
 
Offensively, Wahconah collected 12 hits – all singles.
 
Ryan Marauszwski went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs and scored twice. Colby Robb was 2-for-2, and Dom Marcella went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs.
 
Wahconah (11-7) learns this weekend who it will face in the quarter-finals of next week’s Western Massachusetts Class B Tournament.
