LEE, Mass. – Bri Lynch struck out 12 Tuesday to lead the Lee High softball team to a 2-0 win over Gateway Regional in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class D Tournament.

Lynch scattered seven hits and walked no one for the second-seeded Wildcats (15-2), who advance to host No. 3 Hoosac Valley in the regional semi-finals on a date to be announced.
Lynch got all the run support she needed in the bottom of the second.

Karalynn Hopkins reached base on a dropped third strike to start the inning.

She took second on an error and stole third before scoring on Taryn Bannon’s RBI groundout.

In the fifth inning, Lee tacked on an insurance run.

Autumn Schwab singled her way aboard with one out and took second when Brooke Delaguistina reached on a bunt.

Zoe Ozawa then drove in Schwab with an RBI double to round out the scoring.

Lee played Hoosac Valley back on April 20 in Adams, a 10-5 win for the Hurricanes.
