Lenox Finishes Regular Season with Win at Gateway

HUNTINGTON, Mass. – Amaya Alger went 4-for-5 with a double Sunday to lead the Lenox softball team to a 10-7 win over Gateway.
 
Alger drove in three runs for the Millionaires, who collected 12 hits in the win.
 
Grace Julieano went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
 
Cassidy Flynn drove in three runs, and Lilly MacDonald had a 2-for-4 day at the plate.
 
Lenox jumped on top early with five runs in the top of the first. Grace Julieano, Alger, MacDonald and Markiara Jackson drove in runs in the rally.
 
Flynn went the distance in the circle, striking out five, walking two and allowing just two earned runs in the win.
 
Lenox (8-8) is back on the road Monday in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class C Tournament, taking on second-seeded Franklin Tech.
