NORTH ADAMS, Mass — After five weeks of Berkshire County high school football, both Drury(5-1) and Mt.Greylock(6-0) boasted undefeated records and were set to meet Saturday in what looked like the most entertaining game of the season.  Many believed that Drury's bigger line would give the Mounties problems and possibly result in the end of their 19 game winning streak.  The Mounties completely silenced the home crowd and trampled the unbeaten Blue Devils 36-0 at John J. DelNegro Field, pushing their win streak to 20 games.

Mt. Greylock went right to work in the game scoring on their first drive with the ball as junior Ethan Ryan took the ball in for six.  After a Drury special teams mishap, the Mounties got the ball back on the Drury 31-yard line.  The next play Ryan ripped off a beastly run to put his team up by two scores.  Mt. Greylock went into halftime leading 14-0.

In the third quarter, quarterback Kent Hanson got the Mounties going again as he fielded a Drury punt on his own 12-yard line and proceeded to go 88 yards for another Mt. Greylock touchdown.  Shortly after, defensive end Tyler Picard blocked a Drury punt to give the Mounties great field position again, at the Blue Devil 33.  Ryan took the hand off on the next play for 33 yards to pay dirt, followed by a Hanson 2-pt conversion to push the score to 28-0 and completely deflate the Blue Devil team.

The Mounties dominated the line of scrimmage and as a result, running back Ryan was an absolute monster totaling 205 yards on the ground and four touchdowns.  Mt. Greylock's defensive line was stellar as well, overwhelming Drury's line to free up the Mountie linebackers for tackles all afternoon.

Drury will look to regroup next week when the travel to Great Barrington Friday night to take on Monument Mt.  The Mounties will go down to Pittsfield to take on St. Joseph Central, Saturday night at 7 p.m.
