Monument dominated for the opening 20 minutes, but struggled to find the back of the net. Lucas Wartella capitalized on a beautifully played through ball from Chris Peretti in the 9th minute putting Monument up 1-0. The second twenty minutes of the half was a battle through the midfield. Pittsfield evened the score with two minutes left to go in the half on a scramble inside the box.
The game became physical is the second half with several hard fouls occurring. Monument had several good looks on goal but failed to capitalize until the 76th minute. Aaron House played a long ball out his goal box and found Nick Masiero who took a strong first touch around his mark and was left one on one with the keeper. He buried the ball in the corner of the net making the score 2-1. One minute later Lucas Wartella put the exclamation on the win, hitting a ball into the upper 90 for his second goal of the game.
