NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Aubrey Blanchard had a goal and an assist to lead the Monument Mountain girls soccer team to a 3-0 win over Hoosac Valley on Saturday at MCLA.

 

Meri Powell and Molly Flynn each scored a goal and Helen Pajeski made two saves to earn the shutout.

 

“Monument moved the ball extremely well,” Hoosac Valley coach Kathy Budaj said. “We did not pressure them enough, which allowed them time to distribute.

 

“They are a very skilled team, and they work together very well.”

 

Kelsey Bulson stopped four shots for Hoosac Valley (0-1), which goes to Belchertown on Wednesday.

 

Monument Mountain (1-0) hosts Mount Greylock on Wednesday.
