SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Madison Clark scored the game’s only goal for the Gateway girls soccer team, who took a 1-0 win over Mount Everett on Tuesday.

 

“Defensively we played a very good game — aggressive, smart and quick,” Eagles coach Jessica Murtagh said. “Offensively we played well too. The girls were putting passes together. We just needed to get it to the wings much more. Overall, I’m happy despite the score.”

 

Madison Ullrich made 13 saves for the Eagles.

 

Mount Everett (1-8-1) hosts Hoosac Valley on Friday.
