CHESHIRE, Mass. -- The Monument Mountain girls soccer team defeated Hoosac Valley, 4-0, Thursday afternoon.

 

Monument held a 2-0 lead at half with goals from a Allison Kinne and Erica Broderick.

 

The Spartans added two more to the tally in the second from Meri Powell and Crista Cardillo.

 

Hoosac goalie Kelsey Bulson had 15 saves; Monument's Emily Shaw had 12.

 

Hoosac (2-8-1) travels to Lee Saturday morning for a 11 a.m. start. Monument (8-4) travels to Southwick-Tolland for a 1 p.m. start.
