CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Zufan Bazzano scored a pair of goals Friday to lead the Monument Mountain girls soccer team to a 4-0 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

“It was a game that we would like to move past,” Hoosac coach Kathy Budaj said after the Hurricanes (5-2-1) saw a six-game unbeaten streak come to an end. “We just could not connect. Our passes were not good, our shots were not good, either over or right to the goalie. Monument played a very nice game today.”

 

Aubrey Blanchard and Gabi DeFelice also scored for the Spartans, who got seven saves from Emily Rada.

 

Kailynne Frederick stopped two shots for Hoosac Valley, which hosts Wahconah on Monday at Renfrew Park in Adams.
