"We earned a tough 1-1 draw on the road today at the end of a very challenging week. Both coaches discussed before the game that athletic directors need to do a much better job of scheduling games. We were playing our fourth game in seven days. Pittsfield was playing their second game in twenty-four hours. Despite the fatigue, both teams played hard for all 80 minutes and it was a very open and entertaining game even though only two goals were scored."
"It was a relief to get on the board so quickly. Eric Hirsch--who was very dangerous all day--made a great end line run and passed the ball to the top of the box. Benni [McComish] hit a firm one-timer that eluded the keeper. It was Benni's first goal of the season, so it was nice to see him finally get into the scoring column given how hard he works."
"We had an excellent chance to win the game late. Off the corner, Eric Hirsch's direct header was cleared off the line, and Ian Brink nearly punched home the rebound but he hit Hirsch with the shot that was labelled for the top corner. We outplayed Pittsfield for much of the second half but couldn't get the second goal."
"We'll relish the day off tomorrow and look to come back strong against Lenox on Monday night. With only six games left in the regular season for us, it's time for our team to jump up a level by reducing our goals against, scoring more goals, and playing hard for 80 minutes."
