EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. -- The Mount Greylock girls lacrosse team was defeated by East Longmeadow Friday afternoon, 11-7.

 

Seniors Sarah Stripp and Lucy Barrett led their team with two goals each.

 

Greylock was down 8-3 at halftime.

 

"We had a hard time settling down in the first half," coach Lindsey von Holtz said. "East Longmeadow dominated both draw and ground balls."

 

The Mounties had 12 turnovers in the first half, but brought that down to six in the second half.

 

East Longmeadow was able to hold their rythm in the final two quarters to seal the win.

 

The Mounties (5-1) travel to Chicopee Comp on Saturday.
