WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Claudia Bresett scored five goals Thursday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to a 17-5 win over St. Mary’s.

 

Kelsey Bulson had a hat trick, and Faith Hall assisted on three goals for the Hurricanes, who got five saves from Emily Godfrey.

 

“We got out to an early lead through quick passing and concise shots and several different players tallied goals,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly Meczywor said. “We were also able to get in our younger players and I was very impressed by their hard work and focus.”

 

Alie Mendel and Brooke DiGennaro each had two goals and two assists.

 

Hoosac Valley (6-0) goes to Springfield Central on Friday.
