Tori Rumbolt had a great day today. She was a leader in the field making the plays when we needed her to, and at the plate she went 2 for 3 with a triple and 3 RBI's.
Ashley Ciepiela was a clutch hitter today going 2 for 5 but having 2 key singles, one in the 7th to tie the game to 4-4 and then again in the 9th to help add to a 6-4 lead going into the bottom of the 9th.
Alexis Bushika (former Mt Greylock starting pitcher) pitched for 9 innings and held the Mt Greylock hitters to 5 earned runs, and had a great day at the mound and also at the plate going 2 for 5 with 1 RBI in the 5th inning and a double in the 7th inning to help score key runs for us today.
Sabrina Sommer went 2 for 5 getting 2 hits and scoring 2 runs for us.
It was our first game and defensively we still have some things to work out but we made some good plays, and I definitely saw some good things, and I definitely saw some things we need to work on. Greylock put the ball in play and made us work today. We did the same for them. They came out on top today and it was a good game and good experience on both sides.
