CHICOPEE, Mass. – Xavier Kleps scored 21 points Monday to lead the Chicopee Comprehensive boys basketball team to a 72-64 win over Pittsfield.

 

The Colts jumped out to a 34-23 lead at half-time and were able to hold off Pittsfield’s comeback bid in the fourth quarter, when the Generals outscored their hosts, 14-9.

 

Makai Shepardson scored 18 points to lead Pittsfield, which got 17 points apiece from Da’Sean “Nunu” Brown and Malachi Perry.

 

Pittsfield (1-1) goes to East Longmeadow on Thursday.
