GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Parker Smith struck out nine and allowed one earned run in six innings on the mound Monday to lead the Monument Mountain baseball team to a 4-2 win over Wahconah.

 

Dominic Calautti hit a triple, and Jack Bissaillon, Gus Luf and Liam Smith each drove in a run for the Spartans.

 

Luke Ferguson led Wahconah’s offense, going 3-for-3 with a double.

 

Wahconah ended up sending five pitchers to the mound. They combined to strike out five Spartans and allow two earned runs.

 

Wahconah (6-8) hosts South Hadley on Tuesday.

 

Monument Mountain (11-4) hosts Pittsfield on Tuesday.
