NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Jaydon Dimitropolis went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles Thursday to lead the McCann Tech baseball team to a 19-6 win over Roxbury Prep Charter in the preliminary round of the Division 5 State Tournament.

 

Nolan Booth was 2-for-2 with a double and a pair of runs batted in. And Mason Rondeau went 2-for-3 with three RBIs in a 12-hit Hornet attack.

 

Hayden Barrett earned the win on the mound, striking out eight and walking one in 5 and two-thirds innings. Rondeau finished up, not allowing an earned run in an inning and a third.

 

McCann Tech (7-11) advances to face No. 3 Hopkins Academy (19-2) in the Round of 32.
