A very different game from the first time we played St. Joe.  St. Joe battled from start to finish and there goal keeper Shaun Parick (who was missing from the first game) kept them in the game, only allowing 2 goals.  We had a lot of good chances but Shaun made save after save.  We never gave up and stuck to the game plan by controling the ball and pressuring the play.  Our first goal was a beauty, Shane made a nice cross pass inside the 18 yard box setting up Josh for the score.  Our second was a bomb from 40 yards out by Josh after a take away.  The shot went over St. Joe's keeper and into the top of the net.  We had 11 corner kicks to St. Joe's 3 but couldn't find the back of the net.  We also had a few brake aways but Shaun made the saves.  St. Joe had a few good chance also hitting the post twice in the game.  Our starting goal keeper sat out because of a knee injury, so Evan Canales covered the net and he along with the defensive team played well enough to walk away with our seventh shut out.  Good battle by both teams.
