Putnam's defense is solid, only 1 team scored more than 1 goal against them this season.  They held tough again today, but so did McCann's defense, 3rd shutout this week.  It was a defensive battle most of the game.  McCann forced the offense most of the game but couldn't put it in the first half.  They were told by the coach to keep to the game plan and to keep controlling the ball and it paid off.  They wore the Putnam defense down and scored on 2 beautiful late game plays.  The first and game winner was a nice cross ball from Kevin Dowling from the left outside the 18 to Mike Moreno opposite post to head it in.  The second was from a cross pass inside the 18 from the right from Shane fuller to Damon Couture.  Great game by both teams.
