Stretches of sloppy play led to the high score total, but the Mounties picked up a good road win over D1 Chicopee, who tied Ludlow in their last outing. This was a rescheduled game from Saturday's rain out.
Crow Brennan got into the scoring column for the first time this year with an opportunistic goal to open up the scoring 20 minutes in. Hirsch doubled the lead 10 minutes later, but Chicopee bounced back with a goal against the run of play.
Coming out of the half, Greylock increased the intensity and regained the two-goal lead. Crow Brennan hit the cross bar but Sam Dils was on the spot to knock the ball over the goal line. Chicopee fought back to within one goal again off of a set-piece header, but Hirsch iced the game with 4 left with a pretty assist from Sam Dils.
The Mounties have officially qualified for the tournament and will take on Wahconah in an important Berkshire North match-up on Thursday.
