NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – George Munemo scored on a direct kick with 10 minutes left to give the Mount Greylock boys soccer team a 2-1 win over Smith Vocational in the Western Massachusetts Class C quarter-finals on Wednesday.

 

Munemo converted from about 19 yards out to put the Mounties ahead after they were forced to play with just 10 players over the last 20 minutes.

 

Everett Crowe scored the other goal for Mount Greylock.

 

Lex Anagnos and Ward Bianchi split time in goal, combining to make three saves.

 

Sixth-seeded Mount Greylock (6-6-3) moves on to the semi-finals to face either No. 2 Athol or No. 7 McCann Tech, who play on Thursday evening.
