PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Jon Boland scored two goals, and Brian Christian made six saves Tuesday night to lead the Drury boys soccer team to a 3-0, season-opening win over Taconic at Berkshire Community College.
Boland scored on a Max Daugherty assist midway through the first half to give the Blue Devils a 1-0 lead.
In the first minute of the second half, Boland scored unassisted to give his team some insurance.
Midway through the half, Jonah Miles added an assisted goal for the visitors.
Cody Latimer made 11 saves for Taconic, which travels to Hoosac Valley on Thursday.
Drury is home on Thursday for a non-league game against Greenfield.
