WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Nico Moreno stopped six shots to backstop the McCann Tech boys soccer team to a 0-0 stalemate at Westfield Tech on Thursday in the Hornets’ season opener.

 

“It was a well played game by both teams defensively,” McCann coach Tom Bona said. “The play went back and forth, but the offense couldn't beat the defense on either side.”

 

Bona credited the defensive efforts he got from Javen Reinhardt, Nate Sartori, Lucas Zelazo and Ryan Charon.

 

McCann Tech (0-0-1) travels to Pathfinder on Wednesday.
