HUNTINGTON, Mass. -- Tiffin Martin scored a pair of first half goals Tuesday to lead the Taconic girls soccer team to a 2-0 win over Gateway.

 

“The girls started the game on the front foot, pressing fast, and, when in position, we passed and moved the the ball well,” Taconic coach Dean Bamford said. ”It was an entertaining game by both teams.

 

“In the second half, Taconic created plenty of chances but just couldn't find the net with an end shot. Credit to the Gateway keeper, who made some strong saves in the second half.”

 

Taconic (2-7-1) hosts Lee on Thursday.
