NORTHFIELD, Mass. – Emily Steuernagle scored one goal and assisted on another Friday to lead the Mount Everett girls soccer team to a 2-0 win over Pioneer Valley.

 

Allison Steuernagle scored the other goal as the Eagle shook off the rust with a two-goal first half.

 

“It felt good to finally get back into game action and speed this week,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “Our last game was last Thursday so it was nice to see the girls work the ball around, be challenged on the defensive end, and come away with a win today.”

 

Emma Goewey made seven saves to earn the win in goal.

 

Mount Everett (9-3-1) goes to Lenox on Saturday night.
