MILLIS, Mass. -- Ella Hall made eight saves and four different players each scored a goal for the Lenox girls soccer team in a 4-2 win over Millis on Saturday in the Division 5 State Tournament.

Aliza Munch and Medeja Rudzinskaite each sored in the first half to give the Millionaires a 2-0 lead at half-time.

"After the 117 miles to get to Millis, Lenox started off strong with a goal in the first 13 minutes, followed by another to end the half," Lenox coach Brian Seminara said. "However the long journey caught up to the Lenox ladies, with a refreshed and surging Millis that tied it during second half.  Lenox girls called a time out and was able to regroup a little for the remaining 20 minutes."

After Millis' Emma Powers tied the game in the 57th minute, Jocelyn Fairfield scored unassisted six minutes later for Lenox.

Sophia Carraro capped the scoring in the 67th minute with an assist from Sophia Schnackenberg.

"It's not easy to come off the bus with the level of intensity needed to knock off a top 16 team in the state," Seminara said. "But these ladies did awesome. We've had a stronger schedule than most teams and are used to adversity, so it was nice to see the ladies all come together and work hard to get the win."

Seventeenth-seeded Lenox (8-9-2) awaits the winner of Sunday's game between No. 1 Monson and Parker Charter in the Sweet 16.
