SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- The Mount Everett girls soccer team defeated St. Joseph Monday afternoon, 5-0.

 

The Eagles took a 2-0 lead at half-time with goals from Gwendolyn Carpenter and Madeline VonRuden. VonRuden earned the assist on Carpenter's goal and Hannah Steuernagle assisted the second goal.

 

VonRuden came out in the second half and added the Eagle's third goal; goals from  Maya Neski and Julia Groeber followed.

 

Mount Everett (4-1) hosts McCann Tech Tuesday afternoon and St. Joe (0-3-1) travels to Pioneer Valley.
