PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Hoosac Valley girls' soccer team had a game to forget on Wednesday, giving up four goals in the first half on its way to a 6-0 road loss to Pittsfield.

Katie Bradley netted three goals in the game for the Generals (10-6-2), including knocking in a header to open the scoring in the seventh minute of the game. Sydney Deluce added another goal for Pittsfield two and half minutes later, and the hosts later increased their lead to 4-0 on strikes by Bradley and Alli Supranowicz before the first half was through.

Bradley scored her third goal of the game off an assist from Lindsey Magri 90 seconds into the second half, and the Hoosac offense never put up much of a fight against Pittsfield goalie Abby Hunt, who needed to make just one save to earn the shutout. Freshman Megan Richardson got the start in goal for the Hurricanes and finished with six stops on the day.

It was by far the worst loss of the season for Hoosac (8-4-4), which had only dropped one other game to a North Division opponent coming into Wednesday's contest. The Hurricanes will now have to lick their wounds and heal up in time for the Western Mass. tournament. They will find out their first-round opponent tommorrow when the Division 2 brackets are released.
