BELCHERTOWN, Mass. -- Kelsey Kirchner had a team-high nine kills Tuesday to lead the Lenox volleyball team to a four-set win over previously unbeaten Belchertown.

Kirchner also served a couple of aces and recorded a couple of blocks in the 25-22, 25-21, 20-25, 25-16 win.

Emily Barenski pulled up 10 digs and served three aces in the win, which saw Etta Schnackenberg pass out 23 assists. Hailey Armold and Emily Barenski collected eight and six kills, respectively.

As a team, Lenox amassed just 12 aces in the four-set win, relying on its determination and teamwork to earn points in long rallies.

"Some nights a team can win just by serving well," Lenox coach Steve Laurin said. Tonight wasn't that kind of night."

Laurin said one thing that jumped out about the win was the Millionaires' teamwork.

"They were the best team they could be tonight," he said. "It was the quietest ride home from a win I'd ever experienced. They left it all on the court."

Lenox improved to 5-3 overall and 4-0 in the PVIAC Southern Division. The Millionaires host Mount Greylock on Friday night.
