WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Burr & Burton Academy girls lacrosse team used a big run at the end of the first half on its way to a 12-9 win over Mount Greylock on Monday.
The Bulldogs of Manchester, Vt., scored the last four goals of the first half to take an 8-4 lead into half-time. And after the Mounties (13-2) were able to get back within two goals with 15 minutes left, B&B was able to hang on for the win.
Caroline Flynn had a hat trick to lead Mount Greylock, which got two goals from Sarah Stripp and a goal and an assist from Lucy Barrett.
Sam MacWhinnie made eight saves for the Mounties, who travel to meet Pittsfield on Wednesday at Herberg Middle School.
