PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Sarah Stripp scored five goals and added three assists to lead the Mount Greylock girls lacrosse team to a 17-11 win over Pittsfield on Wednesday.
Emma Polumbo and Arianna Walden each had a hat trick, and Lucy Barrett scored twice with three assists for the Mounties (14-2).
Jacie Salvie scored four goals, and Alex Zuber, Gill Campbell and Shea Hassett each scored a pair for the Generals (2-10), who trailed by just three goals at half-time, when it was 11-8.
That alone made it more competitive than the first two times the teams met: wins by 15-3 and 11-4 for Mount Greylock.
"We're pretty excited about it, honestly," Pittsfield coach Jenna Giardina said. "We've just been improving so much throughout every single practice.
"There's been a willingness to go out and give it our best team effort, even though it's been a hard season."
Haley Milne stopped nine shots for the Generals.
Sam MacWhinnie had six saves in the win for Mount Greylock.
The Mounties travel to Dalton to face Wahconah on Friday as Pittsfield travels to Granby.
