HESHIRE, Mass. -- Claudia Bresett scored four goals Thursday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team to a 13-4 win over Pittsfield.

 

Seven different Hurricanes put the ball in the net, and Ali Mendel and Brooke DiGennaro recorded, respectively, five and three assists.

 

“We continued to move the ball well in transition which led to great shots,” Hoosac Valley coach Molly Meczywor said. “Alie Mendel and Claudia Bresett continue to be a driving force on offense, scoring and getting other players involved. Abi Disbrow made fantastic saves in goal.”

 

Disbrow was credited with four saves in the win.

 

Ashley Rufo scored twice, and Jenna Bateman and Anna Quinto each had a goal for Pittsfield (2-2), which hosts Mount Anthony, Vt., on Monday.

 

Hoosac Valley (3-1) takes a three-game winning streak into Friday’s home game against Hoosick Falls, N.Y.
