PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Allie Hunt and Hayley Tobin managed the only two hits for the Pittsfield softball team in a 1-0 loss to Longmeadow on Friday night as the Generals suffered their first setback of the season.

 

Julia Murphy struck out eight and scattered six hits, but a single earned run in the first inning was all Longmeadow needed behind a 10-strikeout performance by Jill Stockley.

 

Pittsfield (12-1) will look to get back in the win column on Tuesday when it hosts Mount Greylock.
