HUNTINGTON, Mass. – Bri Lynch struck out 17 and allowed one hit Friday to lead the Lee softball team to a 3-0 win over Gateway.
Lynch also allowed no walks in the complete-game victory.
She helped her cause with a triple and an RBI and scored a run.
Lee’s offense got a pair of hits apiece from Karalynn Hopkins and Brooke Delaguistina.
It was a scoreless game until the fifth inning.
Delaney Reed worked a one-out walk and went to third when Delaguistina singled to right and ended up on second base thanks to an error.
Maddie Kotek then grounded into a fielder’s choice, but the throw home could not catch Reed, who scored what turned out to be the winning run.
Lee (4-5) hosts Putnam Voc on Monday.
