WARE, Mass. – Emma Goewey went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles Monday to lead the Mount Everett softball team to a 16-8 win over Ware in the regular season finale for both teams.
Aliyah Creamer went 4-for-5 with a double and a pair of RBIs, Allison Steurernagle went 4-for-6 with a double and drove in a pair of runs. Makayla Carpenter was 3-for-6 in a 17-hit Mount Everett attack.
Julia Devoti struck out six in a complete-game effort in the circle.
Mount Everett (12-6) opens play in the Western Massachusetts Class D tournament on Tuesday at home against Mohawk Trail.
