DALTON, Mass. -- Brody Calvert hit a free throw with no time left in regulation Friday to give the Wahconah boys basketball team a 54-53 win over Monument Mountain.
Calvert finished with a team-high 13 points, including five in the fourth quarter.
It was the Spartans (0-1) who rallied in that quarter to erase a 39-34 Wahconah lead.
Monument Mountain used three 3-pointers to tie it up.
Khalil Carlson scored a game-high 16 for the Spartans, who got eight from Caden Gidarakos.
For Wahconah (3-0), Quinn Gallagher scored 11, and Jesse Chapman added 10.
Friday night's win marked the 100th for Wahconah head coach Dustin Belcher.
Wahconah is home on Saturday afternoon against Hoosac Valley. Monument Mountain hosts Mount Greylock on Saturday.
