WESTFIELD, Mass. -- The McCann Tech boys basketball team used a balanced attack in the second quarter to outscore Westfield Tech, 21-8, and build a 15-point half-time lead en route to a 63-32 win on Thursday night.
Six different Hornets scored in the second -- none accounting for more than two field goals.
Jeremy Beany hit a 3-pointer in the second on his way to a game-high 15 points.
Bruce Davis and Lucas Jamros scored in double figures with 11 and 10, respectively, and Thomas Ziemba scored eight.
McCann Tech (4-3) goes to Mount Greylock on Saturday evening.
