BELCHERTOWN, Mass. -- Brice Letendre scored 37 points on Wednesday to lead the Belchertown boys basketball team to a 79-66 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

Letendre scored 10 points in the first quarter to help the Orioles take a 22-9 lead and added 12 points in a 24-point fourth quarter for the hosts.

 

"We got down out of the gate and tried to fight back, but Belchertown had the answer every time, knocking down big 3s or three-point plays," Hoosac Valley coach Bill Robinson said.

 

Trevor Moynihan scored 35 points for the Hurricanes, who got 11 from Qwanell Bradley.

 

Hoosac Valley (1-1) goes to Easthampton on Monday.
