LEE, Mass. – Josiah Whitley scored 20 points Friday to lead the Rockport boys basketball team to a 64-60 win over Lee in the Division 5 State Tournament First Round.

 

No. 14 Lee held the visitors to five points in the first quarter, but Rockport took a narrow, 25-19, lead into half-time and held the Wildcats off in the second half.

 

Joe Abderhalden hit four 3-pointers and scored a team-high 17 points for Lee.

 

Sam Korte scored 15 points, all on 3s, and Jacob Cooper added 12 for the Wildcats (14-7).

 

Rockport advances to play Western Massachusetts Class C Champion Granby in the Sweet 16.
