
CHESHIRE, Mass. – Evan Roccabruna and Quincy King scored eight and seven points, respectively, in the decisive fourth quarter Monday as the Taconic boys basketball team earned a 70-66 win over Hoosac Valley.
The Thunder outscored the Hurricanes, 25-16, in the final eight minutes to overcome a 50-45 deficit.
King finished the game with 21 points, and Roccabruna scored 17. Carmine Carnute helped the cause with 10 points.
Hoosac Valley’s Adan Wicks led all scorers with 22 points. Qwanell Bradley had 18, and Terrell Johnson chipped in with 10 in the loss.
Taconic (1-3) is off until it goes to Belchertown on Dec. 30.
That same night, Hoosac Valley (2-2) is at Greenfield.
