Hoosac Valley's boys basketball team lost its second game in two outings against a Putnam program that won 16 games last year and was seeded second in the Western Massachusetts Division 1 tournament.

Dizel Wright led four Putnam players in double figures with 21 points, and Hoosac (0-2) scored just seven points in the second half.

Sean Ryan-Kut scored nine points, and Trevor Alibozek had five rebounds to lead the Hurricanes.
