WESTHAMPTON, Mass. -- The Wahconah girls basketball team fell into an early hole and could not climb all the way out in a 52-45 loss at Hampshire on Monday night.

 

Lauren Aldrich scored 18 to lead three players in double figures for Hampshire, which led, 20-4, after the first quarter.

 

Maddie Sprague and Julia O'Connor each scored 14 to lead Wahconah (2-3), which got 11 from Ashley Zink.

 

Wahconah hosts Frontier on Saturday afternoon.
