MILLIS, Mass. – Kyra Rice scored 16 points Monday to lead the Millis girls basketball team to a 57-28 win over Wahconah in the second round of the Division 4 State Tournament.
Fourth-seeded Millis (17-7) took over the game in the second quarter, when it outscored Wahconah, 24-5, to take a 35-10 lead into the locker room.
Madison McCarthy scored 12 points for Wahconah, which got six from Dani Barry and five from Samantha Kaley.
Millis moves on to face either Carver or No. 5 Littleton, who play their Sweet 16 game on Tuesday.
