NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Lily Mirante scored 14 points, and the Drury girls basketball team held Pioneer Valley to two points in the first half en route to a 63-11 win on Friday night.

 

Senior Jacinta Felix scored 12, and classmate Hannah LaCasse added nine in the Senior Night win.

 

“The biggest thing was I wanted to make sure we kept our momentum from the effort that the girls gave during the Pittsfield game and carry it into tonight and to next week when we face a tough South Hadley team,” Drury coach Ian Downey said. I thought we did that tonight.”

 

Elise Daly scored eight, and Ella Bond added seven for the Blue Devils.

 

“To the seniors, your season isn’t over but nights like tonight remind me of all the hard work, conversations, blood sweat and tears you have had over the years,” Downey said. “Most fans only get to see the brief moments on the floor during the game. There is a lot of time, energy and effort that goes on behind the scenes at practice.”

 

Drury (9-8) hosts South Hadley on Monday night.
