PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Ashlyn Lesure scored 20 points Friday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls basketball team to a 58-44 win over Taconic.
Reagan Shea hit three 3-pointers and finished with 12 points, and Sophie Wilson scored nine for the Hurricanes, who snapped a two-game skid.
Jaelynn Walker scored 17 to lead the Thunder, which got 12 from Evaniece O’Neil and nine from Kiannah Josephs.
“We battled and competed all night,” Taconic coach Jason Conuel said. “Our young team has no quit. That’s all I can ask out of them.”
Taconic (1-6) goes to Monson on Monday.
Hoosac Valley (6-2) is at South Hadley on Monday.
