SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Ashlyn Lesure scored 24 points Saturday to lead the Hoosac Valley girls basketball team to a 59-44 win over Gardiner, Maine, in the Hoophall Invitational at Springfield International Charter School.

 

The Hurricanes went into the locker room trailing, 22-19, but outscored the Mainers, 23-10, in the third quarter to take control of the game.

 

Emma Meczywor scored seven of her 14 points in that third quarter.

 

Reagan Shea was the third Hurricane in double figures with 13 points – nine on 3-pointers.

 

Hoosac Valley (8-3) Sunday takes on host Springfield ICS, a 46-45 winner over Masuk High School of Connecticut, on Saturday morning.
