WILBRAHAM, Mass. – Ava Ofcarcik scored 14 points, and the Minnechaug girls basketball team scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to earn a 49-39 win over Pittsfield on Monday.

 

Lynie Nelson (12 points) scored seven points in the fourth, when the Falcons outscored the Generals, 22-7, after being outscored, 16-2, in the third.

 

Madison Stetz led Pittsfield with 15 points and nine rebounds. Harolyn Castillo scored nine points and grabbed seven boards.

 

Caprese Conyers passed out five assists.

 

Division 2 Minnechaug improved to 6-2.

 

Pittsfield, the sixth-ranked team in Division 3, slipped to 10-1.

 

The Generals go to Chicopee Comp on Thursday.
